Do you travel through downtown Raleigh and wish there was a way to know about parking, street closures, fun things to do? Are planning a trip? If so there is an app for that called the Downtown Raleigh app from the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.
The Downtown Raleigh app is meant to help guide visitors around downtown Raleigh. Pepsi, ABC 11 as well as the city all sponsored the project. The city in 2014 kicked in $5,000 to get the party started.
The Downtown Raleigh app is constantly updated, a source for all things Downtown Raleigh in which you can view business listings. But not just any business listings. The app concentrates on shopping, nightlife, dining and other attractions. You can get directions from you current location by walking, driving or even the R-LINE (transit). If you are like me you need help finding parking and this app delivers that. Want to know what specials your favorite restuarant has going on? Check out the app. You can even check Instagram for many places to get up to the minute on happenings.
Oak City Apps developed the app and wanted to make sure the app is usable. The home screen features portals to lists of places to dine, have fun or maybe a drink or two. To download the Downtown Raleigh app visit your favorite market store.
