Apex, NC has a new skate park named after one of the biggest sponsors, John Rodgers. Hence the name, the Rodgers Family Skate Park. The skate park cost over a million dollars to build and well over $300,000 from donors. There is still a need for donors for items to be added so go to www.apexnc.org/501/donate The Apex Board Shop donated a large sum and the 8 foot competition bowl is named for the company.
The complex is a 40,000 square feet and includes the bowl as well as several jumps. If you go remember to bring protective gear as well as lots of water because it will get plenty hot on the concrete course. Only skate boards allowed. Enjoy.
